Polyurethane strippers are used predominantly in metal working operations, such as for producing perforated steel sheet, where they are used to strip the sheet away from the punch.
The PU strippers are used to help eliminate damage to the steel sheet, by reducing and spreading the impact forces following the process. Polyurethane is an ideal material for this application given its better performance than rubber or plastic in dealing with higher loads or being tailored at lower tooling costs to specific applications.
Strippers are available in a shore hardness range of 80 Shore ‘A’ to 95 Shore ‘A’, and are available in a range of colours and designs. They are also available in the Vulkollan® material, made under licence from Bayer AG.
