Acuform sections are triangular bars of polyurethane used in metal working operations. Their primary purpose is to assist in the bending of sheet metal. An acuform helps to form a sharp bend whilst simultaneously eliminating any damage to the product.
Acuform profiles are available in a shore hardness range of 80 Shore ‘A’ to 60 Shore ‘D’, and are available in a range of colours. Our standard colours are red, black, ochre, natural, green, blue, yellow and orange. Other colours are available by arrangement. They are also available in the Vulkollan® material, which is made under licence from Bayer AG and is a standard colour.
Our standard three sizes are 25.4 wide and 50.8mm wide in 1219mm lengths; and 80mm wide supplied in 835mm lengths. Should you require other sizes, given the cheaper tooling costs of polyurethane over rubber, these can be made subject to quantity of your order.
Polyurethane acuforms are better than rubber versions because PU has higher wear performance, is more tear and abrasion resistent and has a more elastic memory to ensure the repeatability of the operation.
